Early Saturday morning I entered the train from Antwerp Berchem Station, in south Antwerp, in the direction of Brussels. Around 10:00am I arrived in Brussels and walked to the hostel to meet my friend Fran, to check-in and drop my bags. A general procedure I have become accustomed to. We then walked to the North Station, where we took the train to Bruge. After and hour train ride we have arrived.
One of the useful things you would find in hostels are free maps. Bonus! In Europe, there has been maps created by the youth (18 years - 30 years), and includes alot of useful and also funny information about the cities. Most important touristic city maps have been created; including
Belgium. With this map we got to see all the important parts of the town and had information about it all. Bruge is a romantic city and some even call it the 'Venice' of Belgium. I love the rugged feel fo the building. It may however have no colour in the city, but the bland colours certainly bring some life to them. Sort of a black and white movie; the feeling of walking through the town in the 18th century.
